📌 Overview
When managing a property with multiple child LPIs (such as flats in a building), it is often necessary to apply the same change to all records at once. The Batch Update LPI Details function allows you to simultaneously edit multiple LPI records linked to the same BLPU.
This saves significant time, ensures consistency, and reduces the risk of data entry errors.
⚙️ How to Batch Update Child LPIs
Go to the BLPU Tab and retrieve the parent BLPU.
Use the tick boxes to select the LPIs that you want to edit.
Right-click and choose Batch Update LPI Details.
The BLPU Details window will open.
✏️ What You Can Update
The following LPI details can be batch-updated:
📮 Postcodes and Post Towns
✅ Logical Status (with constraints, see below)
🏠 Postal Addressable flags (ensure postcode/post town details are completed first)
⚠️ Important Notes
✔ If you select a Logical Status that is inconsistent with the Approved BLPU status, the updates will not be applied.
📌 In most cases, you should use Approved LPI as the Logical Status for batch updates.
🏘 Particularly useful for urban flats or large developments, where many LPIs share common attributes.
✅ Final Step
After updating the required details, click OK to apply the changes.
