π Overview
The User Control dialogue allows Administrators to add, edit, or manage user accounts in GGP.
Corporate Administrators can manage all users.
Departmental Administrators can manage users in their department only.
Advanced or GGP Users can access their own record (if permitted) to change passwords or reset locks.
π You must create departments first before adding users. See Setting Up Departments.
π₯ Add or Edit a User
β To Add a User:
Log in as an Administrator via the GGP Applications Launcher.
Click Users to open the User Control screen.Β
Select
User > Newor click the New User icon.Fill in user details (see 'User Details Explained' below).
Click
File > Saveor the Save icon to finish.
βοΈ To Edit a User:
Select the user from the list.
Choose
User > Editor click the Edit icon.Modify details and save.
π§Ύ User Details Explained

| Login ID | Userβs GGP login name |
| Password / Confirm | Set and confirm password (shown as *) |
| Expiry Date | Auto-calculated from password policy (ExpiresInXDays) |
| Dept | Department assigned (only editable by Corp Admins) |
| Name / Phone | Userβs full name and contact info |
| Type | User type: Corp Admin, Dept Admin, Advanced User, GGP User, View User, or Map User
|
| GGP Licence | Assign licence from dropdown (based on department or general availability) |
| Timeout | Auto logout period to free licence (see notes below) |
| Directories | Click View/Modify to configure (see Setting Up Directories) |
| Log On / Off | Read-only timestamps of last login and logout |
π‘ Timeout only works with network licences. If the GGP window is minimized, the dialogue appears only when restored.
π οΈ User Account Tips
If required fields (Name, Dept, Type) are blank, save will fail.
Use the Revert
button to discard unsaved changes.

If editing fails due to active locks, clear them using:
Reset Locked Out User+ Clear all userβs locksOr remove locks manually via LockTableViewer (Corp Admin only)
π Password Management
To adjust a user's password settings:
Navigate to the User Control screen.
Click the Edit button next to Password.
An individual user account can be configured with the following combinations:
β User Must Change Password at Next Logon
π« User Cannot Change Password
βΎοΈ Password Never Expires
β βΎοΈ User Must Change Password at Next Logon and Password Never Expires
π«βΎοΈ User Cannot Change Password and Password Never Expires
β Note:
You cannot combine "User Must Change Password at next logon" and "User Cannot Change Password" for the same user.
π Suppressing the Expiry Dialog
To prevent the password expiry dialog from appearing (even if the user has an empty password), check the "Password Never Expires" option.
If an empty password does expire, clicking [OK] on the βNew Password/Confirm Passwordβ dialog allows continued use of the blank password.

Use the GGPPS.INI configuration file to implement organisation-wide password policies.

Use the Import Users wizard from the toolbar to:
Select Windows groups or users
Automatically create matching GGP user accounts
