User Control – User Report

📝 Overview

Selecting Tools | Report Users from the User Control Maintenance (Table View) automatically generates a formatted user report using GGP’s built-in report generator.

📂 Required Files

• GGPUSERS.FR3 (Fast Reports)

• GGPUSERS.SRW (Shazam)

These should be installed in the \Programs folder.
When run, GGP copies the report file from the Programs folder to the Lock directory if it is not already present there.

📊 Report Details

The Report Users feature provides a printable overview of key user profile information, useful for tasks such as:

• Identifying and removing old or inactive users (check the DATELOGON field for last login).

• Verifying user classification via the USERTYPE field:

  • D = Departmental Administrator

  • C = Corporate Administrator

The report generates a temporary file in the ExportDir and launches the GGP Report Generator.

⚙️ Special Notes for Shazam Users

• The GGPUSERS.SRW report requires an IDAPI ‘EXPORT’ alias configured in the Borland Database Engine (BDE).

• To set this up:

  1. Run BDECFG.EXE (found in the IDAPI directory).

  2. Select the [Aliases] tab.

  3. If ‘EXPORT’ is not listed, click New Alias, enter EXPORT as the alias name, and click OK.

  4. Set the Path parameter to match GGP’s ExportDir (typically C:\GGPWIN\EXPORT).

  5. Save the configuration by selecting File > Save.

For consistency across all PCs running GGP, it is recommended to standardize the Export location (usually C:\GGPWIN\EXPORT).
