π Overview
User accounts in GGP may become locked if:
An application terminates abnormally (network, Windows, or program crash).
The password is entered incorrectly 4 consecutive times.
Once an account is locked, the user cannot log in, even with the correct password.
Occasionally, files or records may also remain locked and need manual clearing.
π₯ Who Can Reset Locks
Corporate Administrator β Can reset any account.
Departmental Administrator β Can reset accounts within their own department.
Advanced or GGP Users β Can reset their own account (if permitted by security policy), directly from the Application Launcher without entering User Control.
π Resetting an Account via User Control
Start the GGP Applications Launcher.
Log in as an Administrator.
Click Users to open User Control.
In Table View, select the user to reset.
Go to Tools β Reset User or click the Reset button.
The Reset Locks dialog will appear, showing:
Username selected.
Options enabled or greyed out depending on what can be reset.
Even if no reset options are available, file locks will still be cleared.
Tick the checkboxes for the lock types you want to clear.
Click OK.
Confirm changes in the User Table.
π Clearing All User Locks
To clear all application locks for a user, select:
Clear All Userβs LocksThis will remove locks across:
GGP
Setup Application
GGPAPI
And other connected applications.
π Summary
User locks occur after failed logins or application crashes.
Admins (or users with rights) can reset locks without deleting accounts.
The Clear All Userβs Locks option removes locks from all GGP-related programs.
