🧭 Overview

GGP does not have a built-in uninstaller and does not appear in Windows Add/Remove Programs. This is because GGP doesn’t deeply integrate with Windows.

All GGP-related files are stored in the GGPWIN folder, except for the GGP.INI configuration file, which is located in the system’s Windows directory.

🔧 Steps to Remove GGP

1️⃣ Back Up Your Installation

Back up the entire GGPWIN folder before deletion.
Make sure to move any local overlay data (e.g., maps or spatial layers) to a safe location outside the GGPWIN directory.
Data stored on GGP servers or spatial databases is not affected.

2️⃣ Delete the GGPWIN Folder

Open Windows File Explorer.
Locate and delete the GGPWIN folder.
Confirm any prompts or warnings with Yes.

3️⃣ Remove the GGP.INI File (Optional)

Navigate to the Windows directory (or C:\Users\<User>\Windows depending on the OS).
Locate the GGP.INI file and delete it.
You can also use Start > Search > Files or Folders to find it.

⚠️ You may choose to leave GGP.INI — it will not affect your system if left behind.

📎 Notes

There is no risk to Windows or other applications by removing GGP this way.
Always ensure important data is backed up before deleting any GGP folders.
