This article walks you through the process of adding data to an overlay in GGP. To enter data, you need to ensure you’re working on a foreground overlay and have drawn a graphic object to attach the data to.
📋 Prerequisites: What You Need Before Adding Data
To begin adding data, make sure you've completed the following:
Select the desired overlay

Once both are done, you're ready to enter data.
✍️ Entering Data into the Overlay
When you save a newly drawn graphic object on a data-enabled overlay, the data entry form will appear automatically. This form lets you input attribute details linked to the geometry you've drawn.
➤ Editing the Form:
The cursor will be positioned in the first field by default.

You can:
Click on any field to edit it using the left mouse button, or
Use the TAB key to move through the fields one by one.
🔁 Reusing Previous Data:

If the same data needs to be entered for multiple objects:
Double-click on a blank field to reuse the last entered value.
This uses the clipboard memory.
If your clipboard has been overwritten, you can refresh it by simply viewing the previous record again.
💾 Saving the Record
To save your data entry:
Click the Save button — it’s the first button at the top left of the data entry form.
This saves your input to the overlay’s database and returns you to the map view.
🧭 Summary
Select a foreground overlay.
Draw a graphic object on the map.
Complete the data entry form when it appears.
Use double-click to autofill repeated data.
Click Save to commit your entry.
