ποΈ What Are User Directory Settings?
User directory settings define file paths specific to the individual user. These paths are stored in the user's Personal INI file.
π Note: Some directory settings are greyed out β they can only be configured at the department level.
π Important Guidelines
β Users must have write access to all defined paths in their Personal Folder.
β οΈ If paths are invalid or write access is missing, a warning dialog will appear at login.
π All settings are saved to:
\\GGPWIN\LICENCES\LOCK\CLIENT\<Department name>\<GGP User ID>.INIExample:
\\GGPWIN\LICENCES\LOCK\CLIENT\Admin\ANDREW.INI
βοΈ How to Edit Directory Paths
You can update a userβs directory in two ways:
Manual Entry: Click in the textbox and type a valid path.
Browse: Use the folder icon next to each field to select a path.
π‘ Double-clicking the path toggles between environment variable format and mapped drive letter format (if applicable).
π The UNC checkbox is only available when editing department-level directory settings.
π When to Use User vs Department Settings
| Setting Level | Purpose |
|---|---|
