Use this option to create a rectangle or square on the map, applying the current foreground overlay polygon attributes.
Common Use Case:
Create a hollow-filled rectangle to mask underlying map details. You can then add text or other features inside the rectangle.
⚠️ Before You Start
Ensure the desired overlay is selected as the Foreground Overlay.
(See Selecting Foreground & Background Overlays for more details.)
➕ How to Add a Rectangle

Click Add > Rectangle from the menu
Or click the Rectangle speed button on the toolbar.

Move your cursor over the map, left-click to start the rectangle, drag to size it, then left-click again to finish.
⚙️ Adjust Rectangle (Optional)
Right-click to open the popup menu.
You can specify exact rectangle dimensions here (see Edit Graphics for detailed sizing and rotation).
💾 Save or ❌ Cancel
