📝 Overview
This guide explains how to add holes to an existing polygon in your overlay file. Holes are interior areas excluded from the polygon’s area.
🛠️ Steps to Add a Hole to an Existing Polygon
1. Enter Edit Graphics Mode
Select Edit | Edit Graphics.
Click the polygon you want to add a hole to.
When prompted with “Edit Polygon?”, select Yes.
2. Access the Add Hole Option
Right-click to open the context menu.
Select Add Hole in Polygon.
3. Draw the Hole
Draw the hole just like you would draw a polygon.
Important: The hole must be fully contained within the polygon boundaries. If not, you will get an error message and need to cancel and try again.
4. Finish Drawing the Hole
Select Finish once your hole is complete.
5. Add More Holes (Optional)
To add additional holes, right-click again and repeat Step 2 and Step 3.
6. Save Your Changes
When you have finished adding holes, select Add | Save or click the Confirm button to save the polygon record.
⚠️ Important Notes
There is a maximum limit of 2560 holes allowed per polygon.
Make sure holes do not cross polygon boundaries to avoid errors.
