Using Auto-Load Script Files in GGP
Overview
GGP supports auto-loading of up to three script files when the application is launched. This allows you to immediately begin working with your preferred scripts without manually opening them each time.
How Auto-Load Scripts Work
When configured, the selected script files will automatically load as GGP starts.
These scripts are managed through the GGP Applications Launcher, where up to three script slots are available.
Switching Between Auto-Load Scripts
Use the numbered script buttons (e.g., 1, 2, 3) to switch between configured script files.
To change the script assigned to a specific slot, use the drop-down (combo box) to select a different script file.
Launching All Scripts
Click the [All] button to load all three auto-load script files simultaneously.
When this option is used, no single script name appears in the combo box, but GGP will open with all three scripts available.
Clearing an Auto-Load Script
To remove a script from auto-load:
Use the combo box to select the script slot you want to clear.
Change the selection to a blank or empty value.
Technical Notes
GGP supports script names with spaces.
To minimize parameter string length:
The current directory is set to the location of the first script.
Only the script name (not full path) is passed to the loader if the second or third scripts are in the same folder.
Path Length Limitation:
Script files cannot be used with the loader if their full path exceeds 128 characters, due to internal table limits.
Managing the List of Available Script Files
To Add a Script File:
Click the [Add] button.
A dialog will appear allowing you to browse and select the script file.
Once selected, it will be added to the combo box list of available scripts.
To Remove a Script File:
In the combo box, select the script file you want to remove.
Click the [Remove] button.
The list of available script files is stored in the user’s Home directory.
