Overview

GGP supports multiple network user licences within a single network installation. This allows different departments or user groups to have their own distinct licences, each managing their users separately.

How It Works

• Using the Copy Control Maintenance program, you can configure a separate licensing directory for each department or group under the main LOCK directory.

• Example directory structure for licensing information:

M:\GGPWIN\PROGRAMS\DEPT1    (2 User licence)
M:\GGPWIN\PROGRAMS\DEPT2    (3 User licence)

• The network administrator assigns users to the appropriate licensing subdirectory, controlling access based on departmental or group licensing.

Important Notes

• Each licence must be installed into its own directory.

• The parent directory for licences is defined during installation.

• This setup helps with access rights management:

  • Users need full access rights to their respective licence directories.

  • By placing licences outside the main PROGRAMS directory, you can restrict the PROGRAMS directory itself to read-only access for added security.
